As part of Auckland Transport’s $30 million route upgrade project at Tiverton Road and Wolverton Street, TES was commissioned to investigate and design cycle improvements along the strategic link between New Lynn and the central Auckland Isthmus area.

 

As part of this project TES prepared construction plans for safety improvements at key sites including Blockhouse Bay Road, New Windsor Road. Works included footpath and driveway upgrades, new shared paths for cyclists and pedestrians, road widening via kerb cutbacks, LATM devices, raised refuge islands, relocation of bus shelters and bus stops, drainage and streetlighting upgrades. The project was completed early 2016 at a cost of approximately $650,000.
