Public Attitudes to Road Safety
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency has recently published an annual report that surveys the public on road safety topics, including attitudes to speed, enforcement, vehicle safety, and driver fatigue/impairment/distraction.
The report is published annually to help the transport sector monitor public opinion, and should assist with delivery of the ‘Road to Zero’ Road Safety Strategy.
Waka Kotahi’s road safety strategy is aimed at reducing the number of people killed or seriously injured on road by 40% (compared to 2018) by 2030.
