This project involved designing a shared path along the southern side of Great North Road, in the vicinity of Western Springs. The works, with an approximate construction cost of $800k, will improve road safety and enhance pedestrian amenity along the new Shared Path.

 

The project was high profile and urgent, and TES delivered advanced scheme plans and detailed design plans within a month of being commissioned.

Complex negotiations were required with external stakeholders during the design process, and TES was required to amend the design to suit stakeholders during the detailed design process.

 

The design included solutions to expedite construction and reduce Traffic Management costs, such as fabrication of a large raised median island off-site in sections.

TES were involved in advanced scheme design, detailed design, construction plans, MSQA, and site supervision (at night).
