Two new roundabouts designed by TES and commissioned by Auckland Transport have achieved substantial crash savings, post-construction:

• Bentley / Chartwell: 5 crashes per year prior to installation, and 0.5 crash per year afterwards;
• Church / Victoria: 13 crashes per year prior to installation, and zero crashes afterwards.

These recent examples demonstrate that replacing dangerous junctions with well designed roundabouts, aligned with Safe System principles, can achieve substantial crash savings and assist Local Authorities to meet Vision Zero targets.
